Every amazing makeup looks start with a flawless base. Although we all want to learn how to create the perfect smoky eye or how to put on dramatic eyelashes, a great makeup look starts before all that. The first thing you should learn about makeup is how to create the perfect base. With the launch of Jecca Blac’s Glow Drops, you can now do just that! Here is what you need to know about creating a flawless base for beginners.

Prime Your Skin Jecca Blac’s Glow Drops are a primer that will add a special glow to your final look. Using your fingertips, apply the product evenly over your face. Blend well into your skin before going to the next step.

Cover Any Darkness

Whether you want to cover beard shadow or under-eye darkness, you need a rose/peachy shade to balance the blue tones. Jecca Blac’s Correct & Conceal features a Colour Corrector, created to even out the blue tones of your skin.

Apply the Colour Corrector with your hands or with a foundation brush, depending on the size of the areas you're working on. For example, you can use your fingertips under your eyes, but you'll need a makeup brush for the beard shadow. Blend the product well into your skin. After the Colour Corrector, use the Concealer shade to even out the area with the rest of your skin.

Cover Any Blemish

If you want to cover blemishes or red areas on your skin, you can skip the Colour Corrector and apply the Concealer directly. Again, you can either use your hands or a small fluffy makeup brush.

Create Shadows

Now that you have evened out the tones on your skin, you want to recreate the shadows you’ve just covered. To do this, stand under direct sunlight and notice which areas of your face are naturally lit. Also, take note of your natural shadows.

Use Jecca Blac’s Sculpt & Soften to deepen your shadows. Using the darker shade and a soft makeup brush, trace a line from the end of your ear to the side of your mouth. Flick it upwards if you want a more feminine look, make it harsher if you want a more defined line.

Apply the same shade on your temples, along the side of your nose and along your jawline. If you’re going for a more masculine look, you can also define the side of your chin. Blend the product well into your skin before the next step.

Soften Your Lines

With a clean, soft makeup brush, apply the lighter shade from the Sculpt & Soften on the middle of your forehead, your nose bridge and to define both your eyebrows and your mouth.

Finally, you can also use the same shade to soften any harsh line left from the sculpting. If you think your jawline and/or your cheekbones are too harsh, apply and blend the lighter shade on each side of the darker shade to soften it.
